A few months ago, when DD was asking how old everyone was I told her this. It's been very cute hearing her say that. But I am now wondering if I should tell her my real age at my next b-day next month. She's really into #s, she loves to talk about how much stuff costs when she goes pretend shopping, what time it is and how old everyone is. She knows that after 3 she'll be 4 and after 1.5, DS will be 2. She can count really high but I don't think she knows that 26 comes after 25 even though she can count higher than that.
What do wise bumpies say? Stop the white lie before she realizes that 38 does not come after 25 or keep it going for the cuteness factor?
Re: "Mommy's 25!"
I think I would go with your real age--for kids, whether it's 25 or 38, it's all a big number in the age department;)
LOL, I actually thought you were 25 when I read that post about DD saying "Mommy's 25!" last week. So you fooled me!
when i told T my age, he said "wow, that's really old mom. you are old like a dinosaur."
gee, thanks kid.
i vote with staying 25!
LOL, that's really cute!
Out of sheer "let's make sure we don't get totally confused", i'd probably go with your real age...although that might cause temporary confusion too (so 38 comes after 25? ;-) But i agree with PP - I remember as a kid calculating how old i was going to be in the year 2000 (22 yrs old) and thinking, "WOW, that's ANCIENT!". Oh how i yearn for the energy of a 22 year old now ;-)
I would go with your real age too. No real great reason why, it just seems that it is one less thing to correct later.
