DD's belly button is still oozing quite a bit, is this normal?

My DD is only a couple days older than yours and there hasn't been any oozing. Her belly button is fully healed (and has been for just under a week). Have you tried cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide on a q-tip?

i've been doing rubbing alcohol on a qtip per pedi instructions.

She's got just enough oozing to be on her pjs in the morning and some on her onesie by the end of the day.

How long ago did it fall off and how long have you been putting alcohol on it?

it fell off at day 10 and been putting alcohol on it since day 4

If it has been oozing as opposed to a little blood, I would call the doctor.

I would call the doctor. DD's was oozing a bit and the doctor ended up putting some silver nitrate on it. That helped a ton and her belly button has looked great since.

Thanks ladies! I called and talked a nurse and she said to continue to clean it and to put some antibiotic cream on it and to come in tomorrow if it's not better.
