Not Measuring the same as my EDD

I turned 30 weeks today and I am measuring around 27...wtf??? Anyone having this sort of thing? I have an u/s appt. today to follow up to make sure she is growing correctly. Did I mention I'm 5'11 and have lots of space and have wide Cuban hips and butt?

I can't think about anything else until I get through this u/s

I haven't had an appointment in a few weeks, but at my last one (26 weeks) I was measuring small. My MW said that we'll check it again this week, but that it's probably nothing to worry about because of my build. I'm also tall, but my wide hips and butt are solid German stock. Smile

You might have a longer torso, which means more room length wise. I'm on the shorter scale (5'3'') and I'm 2-3 weeks ahead on my measurements. Sounds to me she is more inside your body than out. No worries, I'm sure everything is just fine!

ITA, I bet you just have more room for baby to hide. The person measuring you has a lot to do with it too.

With DD I was measuring 4 weeks behind (and I'm 5'1" so she didn't have much room to hide!) and she ended up being born at a normal weight and height. Don't stress about it too much!

I thought with fundal height anything within +/- 3cm (so if you're 30 weeks, 27-33 cm) was considered "normal".

I don't think I'd stress!

With DS I was measuring a few weeks behind (I had insulin-dependent GD). I had an u/s that showed he was over 10 lbs (at 38 weeks) and 10.5 lbs at 39 weeks... then he was born weighing 8 lbs 1 oz... In my case the estimates were ALL wrong.

my MW told me that many OB's and MW's no longer do measurements, however she does them still to make sure baby is growing. I've asked her if the measurements actually mattered since i've been measuring 2 weeks ahead every appointment. She in turn said all she is looking for is that baby is growing and as long as everything is getting bigger numbers don't matter.

I will be 32 weeks tomorrow and I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me that the baby is measuring about 5 lbs right now and I still have 2 months to go, so I know exactly how you feel. I am going to have like a 9 lb baby. Tongue Tied

I had a u/s at 29 weeks where baby boy measured about two weeks ahead. The u/s I had this week put him just a few days ahead. I know exactly when we conceived, so there's no due date confusion. Babies just grow at different rates throughout the pregnancy.

2 appts ago, the dr. i saw (theres like 9 at my practice) was freaking out that I was measuring 3 weeks ahead and had failed my 1hr glucose. She ordered an ultrasound and a 3hr and lectured me about eating carbs.I did fail the 3hr test the following week and baby is measuring in the 85th percentile BUT, my next appt 2 weeks later was with a different dr and he did not measure me to be that far ahead. He said everything looked fine. The first dr. told me straight up that she was having a hard time finding the top of my uterus. So all this being said, the fundal height measurement is a bunch of crap IMO. Also, ultrasounds are +/- 3 weeks at this point in pregnancy...

I'm 31 weeks and they told me yesterday at my appointment that I'm measuring 28 weeks. I'm trying not to worry until my u/s on Tuesday, which is definitely easier said that done.
