Apparently mexican food is not my friend during this pregnancy. My partner and I went to grab mexican because for the last week all I have wanted was steaks, sesame chicken and mexican food. Everything else just didn't seem appealing and I could hardly bring myself to eat any other food.
I was great till about 30 minutes before bed, then I just started having horrible stomach pain and nausea. If Ben tried kissing me or even touching near my stomach I would almost puke. Needless to say, zofran was my life saver last night.
Now I can honestly say that I never have any morning sickness really. I've maybe gotten sick to my stomach 3-4 times before I found out I was pregnant but not much after that and it was always at night. Maybe it was due to the fact that my body is used to being awake at night more from 2 years of working night shifts with EMS?
And is it normal to not really have morning sickness? The worst I get is that I avoid food (which is not normal, I usually love ALL food), and I can't eat a lot at one sitting anymore. Togo boxes are lifesavers!
As for other symptoms as a side note, its been just exhaustion and a little bit of irritability. I can't walk around walmart or even walk the dog without getting worn out and having to sit down for a bit (dizziness and inability to stand up anymore). I also can't stay awake to 3 or 4 am in the morning and get up at 7am anymore. My eyes automatically shut at 10pm or so now. So odd.
Anyone else going through this stuff?
Re: Well I was doing good until...
Morning sickness is a misnomer for sure. With my first pregnancy, I would only throw up after dinner.
Everything you're experiencing - nausea that comes and goes, food cravings and aversions, fatigue, and being overly emotional or irritable are entirely normal.
I'm using that post and showing my partner this- haha! Maybe then he'll understand why I fall asleep on him or can't stand certain food that I used to love. Thank you and thanks to all of you guys!
