Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We went to Williamsburg and stayed in a Bed and Breakfast for 4 days then went to DC and toured the city for a few days. Neither of us are beach people and usually take vacations that revolve around history (We've seen most of the major battle fields from the Revolutionary War).

We had an amazing time. I can't wait to go back to Williamsburg when Mariah is older.

DC was okay. DH spent a LOT of time looking at everything in the Air and Space Museum, but it was still really neat to see all the memorials and museums. We also found the most AMAZING tiny Italian restaurant really close to our hotel.

It wasn't a very romantic honeymoon but it suited us just fine.

We went on a local get away right after the wedding and for our anniversary we took a honeymoon/anniversary trip to Jamaica.

We went on our "Mini-moon" to San Antonio, two hours away, and were supposed to go to Mexico the following summer until I got my BFP. Oops!

We took a 7 day cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. It was great. Our room had a balcony and we would eat breakfast on it together each morning. It was forced relaxation.

We went to Spain for 2 weeks. It is an amazing story actually...we were planning on Italy in July, a belated honeymoon since we were married the previous October. In March, my husband randomly came across an airfare special one day for round trip tickets to Barcelona from Las Vegas on Iberia for $306 including tax. The catch was we had to leave 5 days later. I called my boss out of a meeting and he called his boss to get an immediate answer. It was exceptionally slow at the casino we both worked for, so we got the time off approved over the phone. I planned a trip to Barcelona, San Sebastian, Bilbao, Seville, Cadiz and Tarifa via plane, trains, bus and rental cars...planned it all in 5 days. It was a whirlwind and we had the time of our lives. And we flew to Spain for the same price as a flight to Seattle!!

Hawaii, the big island. ILs have a time share and they got us the place to stay so saved us a lot of money. We stayed a week and loved it!

We went to a little island in the British Virgin Islands (Jost vanDyke). It was a slice of heaven. We try and go back to visit a new Virgin Island each year now.

Our first honeymoon which was immediately after our wedding 4 years ago was spent in Chicago. We saved up for our real honeymoon to backpack Italy for 2 weeks in April/May of last year. We started off in Venice and made our way to rome by train and stopped at some cities in between. It was definitely worth the wait! And we got a lasting souvenir! Wink

We did Disneyworld as I was able to use rewards to get it for very cheap. The following year we did our relaxing "late honeymoon" and we went on a cruise.

We lived in NYC at the time and were fairly broke after the wedding, so we did a 2 week staycation. It was great to do all the fun/expensive stuff that we couldn't justify before--broadway musicals, jazz shows, fantastic restaurants, and still have plenty of time to nap and recover from the wedding.

7 day cruise out of Puerto Rico, it was fun because we were ont he ship for New Year's!
