*Cute lunch check-in*

We've got the whole spectrum in this week's lunches, from ugly, to weird, to cute. Let's start with ugly!

We had some mini eggrolls in the freezer left over from a party and I thought DD would like them for lunch. Wrong! Two mini eggrolls and a container of sweet & sour sauce, cucumbers (with a silicone sheet to keep them from the hot eggrolls), tomatoes and carrots in the muffin cup, and blueberries on the bottom. DD ate a few token bites of eggroll and finished everything else. I wanted to make the carrots into flowers but a cranky baby convinced me otherwise! Not cute (the lunch, not the baby)!

Leftover pizza in the Lego container. Cucumbers, clementine and strawberries are awkwardly wedged in there, and the mini Lego container is filled with blueberries. Not cute!

Weird! I was going for a frog theme in this lunch that we took to the park, but I accidentally put the eyes in the wrong spot, and since they were glued down with cream cheese, it would have left a mark if I'd moved them, so they stayed in their spot! On the left is a homemade sealed sandwich and on the right are cucumber spears, string cheese, blueberries and a strawberry.

Not very creative, but it's better! In the Hello Kitty container (a metal candy container from World Market) is leftover antipasto salad, stacked cream cheese & jelly sandwich halves, snap peas and strawberries. She didn't like the antipasto but did eat the cheese out of it.

My favorite of the week! This was packed in a Tupperware sandwich container. At the top is a cheese sandwich, then strawberries, snap peas and blueberries. Healthy, colorful, diverse foods and a cute little puppy container for an element of fun (from allthingsforsale.com). Fast as can be! That's the nice thing about having a collection of fun little picks and containers - a plain lunch can be given a cute touch with zero extra effort on your part!

Have a great week everyone! PIP your cute lunches here!

  • I haven't posted in forever!  Your lunches are awesome.  I have a few I could post here too, but I can't remember or figure out how to post pictures!  Help???

Also, where did you get your silicone food dividers?  We could definitely use some of those as well as food picks like yours!   Awesome job!

  • I upload my pictures to flickr.com and then click on the little tree icon to paste in the URL.

I get most of the silicone food dividers and picks at allthingsforsale.com, though I occasionally find containers at the grocery store or Target, and sometimes Party City has seasonal picks. HTH!

  • I have also gotten some silicon muffin tins from Marshall's.
