One Eye always Watery???

Anyone else experienced this or asked their pedi? It's occasionally boogery but not green. I just feel bad for him...because I am sure it is annoying.

My mom thought maybe a plugged tear duct? Not sure.

Re: One Eye always Watery???

  • My daughter has had this problem for a few weeks now..Pedi said it was a blocked tear duct..only time to worry is if it becomes swollen or pink..then it could be pink eye...I massage the corner of her eye with a wet q-tip a few times a day and it seems to have helped.

  • If you're breastfeeding, put a few drops of breastmilk in her eye and it'll clear up. I know it sounds crazy, but it works. Breastmilk also cures pink eye (feel free to google it). :)

  • Noah has the same thing in the left eye, but it seems to be getting better since we've been massaging it, but we have a prescription for erithromyicin (sp?) in case it gets green and really gunky.

  • DD had this also. Cleared up after a few weeks, at the time I just keep it clean with a warm washcloth. GL!

  • The plugged tear duct will eventually open up. Before baby turns one.
  • Yup, blocked tear duct. DD had this for almost 3 months. It ended up getting infected twice, and then went away
