Babysitter Recommendations - Tulsa Area

I am going to need a sitter a couple of times for the 2/3 weeks we will be visiting in March...and again on a regular basis once we move in May. Does anyone have someone they would recommend or a regular sitter or friends you could ask for a recommendation? I'd appreciate the help!

    Is she going to go to PreK at the public schools?  If not, sometimes your DCP will babysit after hours (assuming you are using daycare if you work.) You can team up with parents at school too and trade off babysitting.   We use grandma and aunt.  I need to find someone myself, so if you find a good one, let me know! :)

    She will start Kindergarten in the Fall...I'll likely put her in daycare or camps for the summer. I'm a single mom and I run my own business, so there just always seem to be "off" times that I'm in need of some help! I'm sure once we are settled in we'll start meeting people who I can trade off with, which is a lot of what I do now. We're going out to visit for 2-3 weeks next month while I'm participating in a bridal event ...and just getting a little preview of our new life! I'm hoping I can get some recommendation for that time. I'll keep you posted if I find anything :)!

    I've looked at care.com before and although I've never called anyone, there are a lot of younger people (TU students mostly) that will babysit.  The website does background checks on them for you.

    You might also try Seeking Sitters.  I've had several friends use them and were quite happy.
