Can not get Dad involved or even come around.

I can not get the Dad involved or even come around, or even answer phone. What do I do?

    Giggle, snort!  But ditto.  If he doesn't want to be involved you can't make him... don't waste your time.

    I cautiously say move on. Be sure not to let the kiddo grow up knowing how upset you are b/c they'll likely feel it's their fault (I know I did).

    I'd keep trying every so often, but don't focus on it and have a healthy relationship with your kiddo instead.

    I'm sorry, that must be really hard. It's his loss though, right?

    I would do what you can to keep lines of communication open unless he becomes a problem/bad influence. Maybe someday he'll do a complete 180 and want to have a relationship with your child. Probably not, but at least you'll know (and your child will know) that you did what you could.

    Chin up. Things will get better. I was raised by a single mom and I am fine now :)

    You are only responsible for YOUR relationship with your child. Lots of kids grow up with a mom only and turn out to be fantastic, warm, loving people. Be a great mom, that's your only job.
