I have been lurking on this board since I got my BFP, and figured it was time I introduce myself. My name is Paris. My husband is in the army, he is a behavioral health specialist. We are stationed at Fort Lewis. We have a beautiful 2 year old and are expecting #2 in August. I look forward to getting to know some of you, and learning what I can from this board, as well as sharing what I know
Re: Lurker
Hi! I've never introduced myself either just replied to some posts. I like your sn! Congratulations on the upcoming birth, so exciting!
We're at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Georgia but are soon pcs'ing to Presidio of Monterey. My husband is re-classing to become a linguist. This will be our first child but we do have a silly basset hound/jack russell terrier mix named Ziggy.
Nice to "meet" you.
I'm stationed at Ft. Lewis as well. Its a nice place to live in the summer...other than that..it rains too much lol. Are you going to deliver on post?
I am really having a difficult time debating whether or not to deliver at Madigan. Originally it had been my plan but since I have Tricare Standard and see an off base Dr. I'm starting to sway towards delivering at Tacoma General. I am high risk, and I just feel like I may be in better hands staying with my doctor and tacoma generals really high rated baby ICU. What about you?
I delivered at Madigan. I was high risk too. I went into preterm labor at 26 weeks. It was reallly stressful and scary but the doctors talked me through everything. They stopped my labor and when I did they were really good. very nice.
The only problem I had was that I rarely saw the same doctor two visits in a row. It became really annoying to have to explain the same thing every other week you know?
