Has anyone thought of 1st birthday themes?

I just started thinking about it.
I'm thinking maybe Elmo, or Tinkerbell
SO many decisions!

Re: Has anyone thought of 1st birthday themes?

  • I was thinking about "A Very Hungry Caterpillar". I like that there are so many primary colors. It goes with springtime and fits an outdoor party really well. I can also have fruit and veggie snack trays to fit the theme. And it's based on a book, which I like. :)

  • Cute!  That seems to be a very popular theme these days!

    I love the book too!

  • Honestly, I haven't put one second of thought into it. I'm not big on the theme stuff, though, so if we have a party with family it will probably just be a low-key giving attention to DD thing.

  • We had a meet the baby party instead of a baby shower, due to being Jewish--and we did a Reese's Candy theme. :)

I would have no clue for the first birthday.

  • We are using a baby whale theme and the colors navy blue and turquoise. I have a whole board on pinterest dedicated to it. I've been searching for ideas since last year!
  • We are doing both the Backyardigans and Mickey Mouse.

  • Our's is "Baby N is going to Bee One"... couldn't pass up the bumblebee theme and the cheap way to decorate.  We don't do any bday parties after one, so I tend to go all out for the first (since we did with DS).

  • We are either doing Baby Sea Turtle theme (its also his nursury theme) or Mickey Mouse. Our LO has been to Disneyland 4 times already and loves meeting Mickey so I thought it might be fun.

  • My LOs birthday is the 31st so I was thinking a red, white and blue theme since it will be around memorial day. But that seems kinda lame to me. I was also thinking just spring/summer flowers. I probably won't go all out. Just decorate her cake and some small decorations.

  • Ours will be similar to the "come over and have some cake theme" but we'll probably add fajitas, beer and margaritas.

  • Sure thing!  Everyone come on down to Houston!  DD was born on our 2nd wedding anniversary so we'll always have dual celebrations.
