Experienced Moms - Registry "Must Have" You Don't Think is Necessary?

For all those second + time moms, are there any common registry items that you didn't use or don't see the purpose in?

On that same note, is this one registry "must have" in your mind?

  • Well everyone is different so my wastes might be someone else's must have, you know?

    never had, never missed:

diaper pail, wipes warmer or bottle warmer, snap and go, pack and play (we had a one story condo and did a bassinet instead)

    Got, returned, unnecessary:

    infant headrest thingy

didn't register for, got off craig's list

bjorn (LOVED it!!),  the jumpy exercauser

Registered for, got and LOVED/could not live without

swing (little lamb), bouncy seat  (DD was literally in the swing day 2), boppy for nursing and DD slept there

I know I forgot some things, what products specifically are you wondering about?

  • Don't need wipes warmer, bottle warmer, a million receiving blankets or special microwave sanitizers.

Good things to have are a carrier (I didn't like the Bjorn..I don't like how babies 'hang' from them.  We have a Beco instead).  I also swear by Gerber cloth diapers as burp clothes.  They are bigger and absorb SO much more than the pretty burp cloths.

I totally agree, especially with the cloth diapers as burp clothes!! They fold into a nice shoulder shape and are way more absorbant!!!
