I have phone interviewed Doulas for a few weeks now and narrowed it down to 2. DH, O and I are meeting with them Friday. Does anyone have anything that you would 100% ask? Help me make my list of questions:)

Re: Doula Questions
When I interviewed doulas for my VBAC, I talked with them a lot about the situation that led to my cesearean and how they could help things go differently this time around. In my case I had an OP baby and failure to descend, so we discussed how to promote optimal fetal positioning, different ways to encourage the baby to turn if it was OP, how to push so that my pelvic diameter would be maximized, etc.
We also talked about how many VBACs they had attended, what I wanted for this delivery, how I felt about my first delivery, my concerns about breastfeeding and stuff like that. Make sure you ask about the business side of things--do they have a back up doula and if so, can you meet her? How does payment work and what services are included? How many prenatal and postpartum visits do they do? What will their role be if you need another cesarean? Do they have a contract? If money is tight, you can ask about sliding scale fees.
I also think it is important that you feel at ease with your doula. You want someone who will help you relax, not add to your stress.
I asked them about how many VBAC they attended. What/If they did anything differently with their VBAC clients. What their emergency procedure was if I was laboring at home with them and a rupture was suspected (yes, I was a paranoid VBAC mama).
At the time, I was also choosing between two different hospitals and providers for the VBAc and got their opinions on the two different options.
With a doula, a lot of it is how you "feel" with the person.
