Been clogged since Sunday... a little scared

I posted on Sunday (on the breast feeding form) about my clogged duct. I have tried all of your suggestions and I can not for the life of me get his damn thing unclogged. I have an appointment with my OB this afternoon to confirm mastitis. I am worried though it has been two days and I still can't get this clog out. I know this is irrational thinking but what happens if I never get it unclogged? Do they have to do some kind of procedure to relieve the duct? I am in so much pain I don't know how many more days of this I can take...

    I was in the same boat as you a couple weeks ago.  I seriously thought they were found to have to operate to get it unclogged. Thankfully I went to the hospital and the nurses helped out a ton!!  One nurse massaged the heck out of it (hurt badly) while the other one pumped (the electric pumps dont work on me for some reason so she manually pumped it out). I went home after an they still hurt for two days (I think because they were bruised from the massaging) I took ibuprofen ( was already antibiotics)  to help with the swelling, and they got better every day since.  God bless nurses.

    Don't know if you tried this already. But my friend put uncooked rice in socks and warmed it up in the microwave to get hers unclogged.
