Frustrated

I love my babyhawk and my ring sling but I'm having issues loving my woven! I have a size 7 (I think I don't remember, it's LONG thought) that my Mum got me when I was pregnant. I have started to use it to take the dog for walks so I don't take the BH out of the car as I've gotten stuck with nothing to put DD in while out shopping!

Anyway I'm getting the hang of getting DD on my front but she's used to some head support with the BH and in the woven she thaws her head back (she also does this when DH uses the Ergo). It's annoying as it pulls her away from my body and makes me look like an idiot (second issue is probably all in my head).

Does anyone have any clue as to why she's doing this and how to fix it, looking at the sky for an hour walk can't be comfortable! At the moment I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can put her on my back and she'll hopefully stop this but the only way to wear her at the moment is on my front so we can share a coat (it's very cold here at the moment...I'm wearing ski pants to take the dog out in the morning).

Re: Frustrated

  • DD started doing this in the Ergo around 6 months, it was really annoying. An hour trip to the grocery store she'd have her head back the whole time! I switched to the ring sling around that time and being on my hip seemed to satisfy her better. I didn't think about it until fredalina mentioned it, but she also loves doing it in swings and lately has been doing back bends off my lap. The world is apparently fascinating upside down.

  • :) I've been using the ring sling for the grocery store etc which stops her doing it there, now she's going forward for everything in the shelves. Well at lease I know I'm not alone and it's not my wrapping skills failing me!

No, but when she's a bit taller it can kill your back.

I believe! Does back carrying help or am I doomed?
