BIG news! ILs update included

Friday (day ILs told H they moved down here) went smooth! We had a wonderful dinner and then watched a movie together that H rented and we hadn't got to watch yet. ILs didn't tell him at the house... MIL said, "Why don't we go get some icecream?" (wasn't too late - about 7:30pm). H was all for t, he loveeeees some sweets! MIL suggested we follow them so that they could get "going" afterwards... We never got icecream, of course. We pulled up to IL's rental home and H said, "Oh my, they must've rented it out for the week!!" Haha - it was too cute to see him not get his hopes up. I just said, "I guess? I was sure looking forward to dessert but I assume this is more exciting!?" LOL if I didn't play the part well, I don't know who did.

H asks MIL if that was this case, she says, "No sweetie, this is our rental home. We've put a bid down on a house 10 minutes from your house and already sold our house in ____ (town they lived in)!" H smiled from ear to ear and literally almost cried. He asked if I knew about any of this and I said, "Guilty...". He kissed me and whispered in my ear that I was the best wife in the entire world. I melted Crying

More news... H and I have been TTC since beginning of Jan. We originally planned to start once LO was 1, but decided since we had a hard time getting pregnant with LO, we would go ahead and start. If anything, we'd get pregnant right away and have a newborn and 18 month old (not so bad). Well, Friday morning I took a test because I was late and didn't really think I was pregnant. But I am )))))))

I told H this morning before he went to work and he was so shocked since it took us almost 7 months to get pregnant with our first. We are soooo happy and cannot believe we are already pregnant! My first dr. appoinment is Monday of next week (just to confirm and all), so we haven't told anyone yet - but I had to ell someone... We plan to tell he family by inviting both of our parents over for Lunch the Sunday after I find out. We are having a cake made that will say, "We're having baby number 2!".

Such an exciting weekend! ))))))

Holy crap... I don't know the background on the ILs story, but I melted. So sweet!

And congrats on the pregnancy!

Just a quick update - ILs have lived almost 2 hours away since me and H started living together. It was so much easier to visit before having LO and we would go multiple times a month. Now, we only had time during holidays when H was off work and on weekends when we could stay overnight (usually every 2 months we would try to go visit).

H really wanted to move and be closer to them (we live in the same town as my parents mainly b/c H works here). I told him I was up for that as long as we live in between both parents so it was easy to visit either sides.. No biggie. Then we found out we were expecting with first LO and decided we'd wait until he turned at least 1... ILs decided they would put their house up for sell b/c they didn't want to wait! I'm glad because I want LO to be close to both grandparents!

They have a rental home in our town and put a bid on a house 10 min from our house. They told me and wanted to surprise H - I helped... It was the best thing I've ever witnessed b/c H was SOOOOO extremely close with his parents until we got engaged and he took a job offer in my hometown.
