Looking for another mommy/mommy-to-be!

Introducing myself as I haven't posted much recently -- I am a 35 yo mommy to a 4 year old boy and baby #2 (a girl!) is coming next month.  I work as an accountant for a medical company.  I live in the Albertville/Otsego area. I feel like my friends are all going in different directions and aren't as close as we once were.  I'm looking for another mommy friend or two to get to know that understands this season of life :)  Someone to email back & forth with, bounce ideas off of, have girl talk, etc.  I know this is kinda strange and I hope not coming off desperate :) but I don't know a lot of ways to meet new friends and I know we'd already have some stuff in common with having little ones.  Anyway....     I don't think you sound desperate.  I've been wanting to make some new friends too.  I'm not from here so I don't know a lot of people.  I live in Mendota Heights though so I'm pretty far from where you are.  I'll email you though if you want to chat.

    I live in Zimmerman, so not too far from where you are at. I feel the same way at times. Granted, DH and I are one of the first in our group of friends to have a kid. Which isnt that surprising since we are in our mid twenties. Most of our friends dont understand what its like to not just go whenever you want, etc. I dont think you are coming off as desperate at all. Feel free to contact me to talk and whatever else. We could even meet up some time since we are so close to eachother.

    I'll email you! We are close in age and I have a 4 year old boy so we have a small amount in common already! It's tough meeting new friends that are in the same point in their lives. I used to have a few really close friends but not so much anymore and I really miss that.

    YAY!  Thanks everyone!  I'm so excited to get to know a few more gals in the Twin Cities.  I've sent out a couple emails and am working on the others.  Looking forward to hearing from you, too, C&H!  It sounds like we're definitely in a similar spot in life, too :)

    I'm in Zimmerman too!  I'm always up for meeting new mommies (I will shoot you an email).  I have an almost 4 year old DD and a 2.5 year old DS.

    We used to do playgroup up here once a month but we had one mommy move and 2 that stopped joining us so its down to 3 of us mommies (and 6 kiddos 3 months - almost 4).
