Re: Insomnia?

  • Yup me too some nights. Ask your doc about taking Benadryl or something like that  I have taken it a couple of times when it is really bad. I also move from bed to couch and back a lot too. Sometimes that helps sometimes not.

  • I started having serious sleep issues around 24 weeks. I was able to take Tylenol PM once or twice, but otherwise the best thing I found was to find a really comfortable position (which for me took a pregnancy pillow, another knee pillow, and a couple for my head, too). It's harder to get comfortable the further along you get. I've been sleeping in the recliner because it hurts a lot to sleep in bed, but last night I simply couldn't fall asleep, so I moved to the couch to lie on my side and fall asleep. Once I did that, I was able to get up and go back to the recliner to fall asleep. It is a lot of work but if you try stuff out you'll find something!

  • I've been dealing with it since early on.  My problem is that I can fall asleep, but I wake up every 90 mins to 2 hours and often can't fall back asleep.  I haven't found anything that helps.  I tried benadryl, which didn't help me stay asleep and just made me groggy in the morning.  Sorry.  I like to think of it as good practice.

  • Thanks for all of your responses.  I try not to take any type of sleeping medicine as they make me super groggy the next day.  I think I might try switching from the couch to the bed, and bed to the couch.  I already have a body pillow, but I think I will add more pillows to get comfortable.
