Ugh! My clothes dont fit...

I am entering Week 7 of my 3rd pregnancy and I can't fit my clothes already. I am in need of some suggestions. I have some clothes from last pregnancy (2 yrs aago)but wrong season and sweaters aren't always the answer. I work in a school as an assistant principal so I need to look professional but I dont want to spend a lot of money.

My principal doesn't know and neither do my co-workers. Guess I'm telling everyone this week...

Where can I go? What's a girl to do? What to wear...

Re: Ugh! My clothes dont fit...

  • I couldn't fit into my regular clothes at 7 weeks either.... I tried the belly band thing... didn't like that, so I just went and got some maternity clothes early. Post pregnancy, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on clothes but I was in between sizes... so I just got some bigger pants on size until I got back to my regular size. Can you just get a couple bigger sizes for the time being? I got mine at NY&Co since they usually have good sales and then can coupon use.

  • Check out some of the consignment shops in the area. You may find some really good deals. I started showing early (around 12 weeks with the his pregnancy). I was lucky enough to borrow a big bin of maternity clothes, which helped out in the long run.

  • I got most of my maternity clothes from Old Navy and Khols, both always have some kind of deal or % off.  Most of my work pants were from Khols, just your basic black, brown, khaki colors and eve up until I had DS I would wear a nice looking maternity t-shirt/tank, with a regular cardi or jacket, I just never tried to button either.  ON also has some good flowy dresses that you might be able to use to hide it a little longer, some tights, heels and a cardi or jacket should dress them up.

  • Don't count out your local Goodwill!  Both the store near my house and the one near my work have a maternity rack. I had a work conference to attend last summer and didn't have anything to wear....I checked in Goodwill and found a pair of A Pea in the Pod pants and a really nice maternity blouse for $4.50 a piece! I am so glad I didn't pay full price for them.

ETA: I wanted to add on of the great pairs of pants I found there was a pair of Gap maternity pants with the elastic waist but it didnt look elastic....looked like a regular pair of pants so those are great for when you are starting to not fit in your clothes.

  • I was in maternity clothes quickly this time around too, and since I only lost about 1/2 my baby weight from DD I knew that they were not going to last until the end of this pregnancy.  I was able to get a bunch of stuff on sale at JCPenny buy-one-get-one-free.

  • I wore gaucho pants pretty much all of my pregnancy  (https://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=yfp-t-701&va=gaucho+pants)
