Big Surprise

So we went for our first actual doctor's appt today, they couldn't get the heartbeat on the dopplar so they sent us for an ultrasound. Surprise! 2 babies! Mo/Di twins that appear to be identical. We find out what they are in August. Still in shock, don't know when I will begin to process things as processing leads to worry which makes my m/s worse. I know God is with me though and I am thankful for these blessings!

Congrats!! It's super exciting and super, super overwhelming!

We are having mono/di boys due in June but will deliver in early to mid May. Enjoy these first few days of complete shock and telling people!

Congrats!!!! Just so you know, if they are mono/di, they are definitely identical .

I can't tell you how long it takes for the shock to wear off, I'm not sure I've gotten over it yet, hahaha. Just take it one day at a time for now, and know that this really is a double blessing!!!!

It's a big shock - I found out right about when you did - right before 14 weeks. If the doctors told you your babies are mo/di that means they are identical.

Check out the book "When You're Expecting Twins, Triplets...." by Dr. Barbara Luke. It's very helpful in describing how a mulitples pregnancy is VERY different than a singleton one. Many of us on here recommend it.

Congratulations! We were pretty shocked when we found out about our little guys, also mo/di. It takes a while to get used to the idea! I definitely agree that Dr. Luke's book is really helpful.

Ahhh congratulations! This brings me back to when we first found out. How exhilarating and emotional and just a joyous time By the way - I don't know if it ever "sinks in". I still have moments of amazement over the news!
