not early labor, just a UTI

My back has been hurting me on and off since last week but really bothering me since yesterday afternoon. I was having what seemed like regular contractions and back aches since last night. I was able to fall asleep last night but they were still bad this morning, so I called my OB.

My cervix is still closed and thick, and no other signs of labor but I tested positive for a UTI. And doctor thinks that it is the UTI that is causing the back pains and extra contractions. Now I'm on massive amounts of antibiotics and drinking fluids like a fish to try to knock this out.

I have no other symptoms of a UTI, so I was sorta surprised but it could explain why I have felt so lousy the last couple of days. And why I was having super out of control hot flashes yesterday (prob because I had a fever). I just blamed all of that on hormones and being 8 months pregnant.

So home all day today and tomorrow resting and Friday is my last day of work before maternity leave. Oh well, just hoping to get rid of this before I go into actual labor.
