Summer vacation plans?

Has anyone started to think about summer vacation plans? Where are you going? We're in the very early stages of thinking about this.

Not the summer, but it will be our big trip this year. We're going to Hawaii in November! The flight should be interesting.

We're thinking either a Disney trip or a cruise.

I'm hoping to score a deal on a cruise, so we can do both!

In addition to that, we'd like to take 2 or 3 weekend trips to the beach.

We are going to Edisto Beach, SC and to Disney. We are crazy, but it's two solid weeks. First the beach, then to Disney.

I've been dying to go to Disney since I was a kid, and we're taking my mom as part of her 60th b-day present.....

DH and I are going on our first kid-free vacation to Puerto Vallarta for a friend's wedding Memorial Day weekend!

I'm so excited!!

I think that is our only vacay for the year since we're trying to buy a house in the next year and half so we're saving for a DP.

We are thinking about it too. We'll do some time at the beach...the question is whether it will be our standby of the Outer Banks or we'll go down to Kiawah Island, SC (we spent our honeymoon and 5-year wedding anniversary there but have yet to take DS).

I'd also love to take a trip with DH before baby #2 arrives but we haven't given it too much thought.

You are braver than me! I'd love to go to Hawaii, but that's a long flight with a toddler.

I'm already anxious about it. We're going because we have a free place to stay and my parents are also going. We've been before and the location is amazing. Once we get there it will be so great for DD. If I survive the flight, it will be a miracle. I'm hoping those around us like to drink (we'll buy them whatever they want).

We are doing a Disney cruise in April - our first big vacation as a family four! Since that is not exactly cheap we will just be doing small things near family for the rest of this year. My Dad lives in Dover which is only about 40min from Rehoboth so we will probably stay with him for a few days to do the beach and boardwalk. Then my SIL lives right next to Dorney Park in Allentown PA so we will probably do that once or twice too.

So far, our only plans are to go to Dutch Wonderland for a long weekend. We're staying at this resort, which looks awesome for kids.

In October, if #3 isn't on the way, DH and I are going to Napa for my cousin's wedding. If that trip doesn't work out, we'll find some other baby-free getaway b/c DH and I haven't gone on any trips besides my mom's house in Boston since our honeymoon in 2008.

We rented a 4 BR house in Rehoboth. It's our first time doing this so I'm really excited. My brother will be with us for the whole week and then DH's parents will come for the first half of the week and then my mom and step-dad will be there for the second half of the week. So, we'll even have baby sitters so DH and I can do dinner on our own once or twice. I'm just hoping for good weather.

We are going to Anna Maria Island for DH's 40th (eek!) this spring, Vermont to see my Dad in June and a week at the Outer Banks in August (friends are getting married so we are going for the whole week and we are taking my mom and DH's dad with us).

We want to go somewhere for a week or 10 days in early-mid June. I think our current top contenders are northern California (SF, Yosemite, maybe a day in wine country) or the Maine coast. We've done both trips pre-kids, so we'll have to rethink things a bit to go with a toddler. I think my preference is CA, but I wish the flight was shorter.

We'll probably visit my family in FL and go back to Disney in the fall.

We're spending Easter week in Boston with my family, I am certain we will go to DHs parents in NC for a long weekend, and we're going to spend a week at the shore (Jersey) late this spring. I really wanted to go to Lake Champlain this summer, but it doesn't appear in the cards. Next year perhaps...

I want to go to Dutch Wonderland and surrounding area for at least a few days this summer, hopefully before school lets out (and before DD turns 3!). I think I feel brave enough to do it this year, though I am a little worried about the logistics of sleeping, when the kids go to bed at 7:30 and are used to sleeping in each of their rooms/cribs and alone.

I also think I am feeling brave enough to do a trip to the beach.

Last summer, we took our first flight to Boston to see my family and we discussed making that a yearly trip, so hopefully we will do that too.

We're doing out standard Outer Banks vacation in September...

Other than that, we are planning a long weekend in Philly in June (with a day at Sesame Place).

If we get our act together, we're going to Cape Coral, FL for a week in April.

We're going to Vermont and New Hampshire at the end of August. I'm in no hurry to travel with a newborn but I feel like we should do something. We are visiting family and friends but we'll have a hotel in NH and we're renting a vacation home in VT. I'm hoping it'll be nice and mild weather since we're traveling with a little one but want to be able to take our big kids outside a lot.

I have family that live on Anna Maria! It's such a beautiful place. Have fun!

Wow! You guys are big travelers! We'll do our typical beach weekends. Nothing else planned since we're hoping to move. For work I'm going to Berkeley in April and dh might join me and then I have to go to Anaheim in June (no Disney!).
