If you have flown with your 3ish year old, did they seem scared at all?
I hate flying. I'm terrified. I can take Klonopin and be okay physically, but I am still terrified in my head if that makes sense.
Anyway, I know DS has no reason to be afraid, I'm very careful to not speak negatively about flying in front of him. I've even been talking about how fun it will be, etc. Meanwhile inside I'm ready to cry just thinking about it. So I guess it's just hard for me to picture NOT being scared. But he won't be, right??
Re: One more flying question
Mine haven't been. They love it. Even when we had terrible turbulence, they laughed about the "bumps".
DD -- 5YO
DS -- 3YO
Agreed with pp. Kids tend to think its fun - esp if you get them flying by 3 or 4. My DD tends to be scared of a lot of things so I was worried when she had to fly twice in two months and she absolutely loved it. Take things to color with and watch movies on your phone or dvd player. The time will fly! (pun intended).
It might help take your mind off of it too
DS has flown a few times and we just got back from Disney last week. I don't think they really "get it" as he wasn't even phased by the flying. Meanwhile I was sitting there having a panic attack but tried not to let him see that. He didn't even notice the turbulance and his ears didn't seem to bother him. He loved the drink cart and the head rests in the backs of the seats.
Good luck, I am sure he won't even flinch.
