My husband and I had sex the other night, we had to try something new because of my big stomach. I found it not only didn't feel good but it caused a sharp pain on the top of my vagina. What would cause this? Do I just not like sex any more!?!?!

Not sure exactly what caused it - but I haven't been into sex for months. I feel like a snow globe being shaken - it's just not my thing right now. DH understands, so we just try to make due in other ways.

I've had this same pain before, we just had to change positions and it was ok after that. I still haven't found a really great position to work around the big belly yet though, I don't know if one exists!

We tried last night and just gave up because nothing worked for me. There was a sharp pain on occasion, which was ridiculous because we had had sex that morning and had no problems whatsoever. If the mood strikes us, we'll try again. I'm not worried.

I had this issue too!! Me and DH were trying different positions, trying to find a more comfortable one. We tried me on top- holy cow, did that hurt! My OB says it's because baby is settling into into the pelvis and so the cervix is getting pinched between DH's penis and the baby's head, so it's going to hurt the deeper he goes in.

Since then it's hurt sometimes and been fine sometimes...I guess it just depends on where baby is sitting at the time.

Hope you can get it worked out!

haha oh ladies! I agree sex is awkward and uncomfortable but there are positives too! Try sitting on the bathroom counter and have him stand. Best pregnant sex of my life! We have tried to keep our sex life up even though it is hard but it got us here in the first place so why not embrace it!

The few times we have managed to have sex in the past few months we had to start out VERY slow, because it hurt so bad. The entire vaginal area is just so tight and sensitive, which could be what's causing your pain. we haven't had sex in over a month, but it's not because I don't like it. I definitely still like it lol. It's just so darn uncomfortable!!

OMG the first two responses are hilarious- haha snow globe being shaken, can't get that out of my head. I havent had any pain yet but my drive is really low and everything is really dry and irritating down there which really sucks. We barely do it anymore, it's just not fun.
