XP: attention acupuncture fans and Traditional Chinese medicine advocates

Got this email today from my fertility acupuncture practice (TCRA) and thought some of you ladies might be interested in this: Nearly two years ago, the Affordable Care Act , a health insurance reform law, was signed in an effort to provide all Americans quality, cost-effective health insurance. Essential Health Benefits (EHB) in the form of comprehensive packages and services will be required in each health plan. Possible components of EHB include, but are not limited to, emergency services, maternity and newborn care, prescription drugs and preventative and wellness services.
The Department of Health and Human Services is currently collecting input on on how criteria pertaining to EHB's. In order for acupuncture to be included as a necessary part of EHB, strong support from the public is more than essential. By supporting acupuncture as a vital tenant of health care, we can create the groundwork for acupuncture to be a federally recognized service.

If you'd like help mainstream acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), ask for acupuncture to be included in the Essential Health Benefits package. Take action today by sending an electronic letter to the Department of Health and Human Services. Simply visit the official page on the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine website to send your letter today.   Here are the additional comments I submitted with my letter:After two 1st-trimester miscarriages last year, I am finally pregnant again thanks to my fertility acupuncture treatments. Over the 4 months I was treated, my menstrual cycles got more and more normal.  Instead of ovulating anywhere from day 18-27 like I was pre-acupuncture, I was finally ovulating within the normal range of day 14-16.  It also helped stabilize and normalize my basal body temperature and provided essential stress-relieving benefits where nothing else worked.  Now, I am continuing to receive miscarriage prevention treatments and my hormone levels are better than they have ever been.  Unfortunately, paying for these treatments has been a hardship on our family budget, but I wouldn't have been able to conceive and carry a pregnancy naturally otherwise.  And I would have had to undergo a lot more invasive and expensive fertility testing and treatment, seeing an infertility specialist, etc, in order to even have the hope of achieving the same results.  The Texas Center for Reproductive Acupuncture played an essential role in helping me to conceive naturally. Here's another link to C&P in case the above doesn't work for some reason:https://aaaom.rallycongress.com/5887/acupuncture-as-an-essential-health-benefit-public-input/?m=2781059

  • Thanks for letting us know. I just added my name. I definitely think it helps my headaches, I know it cured my allergies, and I think it also helped me conceive naturally.
