I always suck at tummy time... are you doing it yet? For how long? How many times a day? I know the pedi will ask me next time we go in and I'm not entirely sure how much I should be doing it....
I just give him his tummy time while he is on my chest. He still pulls his head up and looks around, moves it from side to side. I probably wont do full on tummy time till he is older and can enjoy it more.

He def does it when he is on my chest and then on the floor when he is in a good mood and alert. I do it until he gets frustrated. I do it once a day on the floor when I remember.
We started it at 9 days and she gets it almost every day at least once. First few days she could only stand a couple minutes, now she can do it for about 10-15 minutes or until she rolls herself over. Pedi is really impressed how well she can control herself already!

This is where we are at. I am thinking about starting it on Wednesday when she hits 3 weeks.
No, we don't do tummy time. She gets plenty of head exercise while being held. I'm sure she will get plenty of play time on the floor when she is old enough to enjoy it.
I read somewhere (don't remember, Mommy brain) that you should do it for a few minutes a day at this age, so we do. He hates it!
Same for us exactly. He screams his little head off...so we tried to do it while he's laying on my chest. That seems to work a lot better (no screaming). :-)

I try to do it about 5-10 minutes a day but we haven't done it every day. He has a play mat and I put him on his stomach and he turns his head from side to side and tries to wiggle forward. Then I put him on his sides and try to get him to roll over. then I let him sit up as I hold him. He hated it the first couple of times but he doesn't seem to mind it now.
