Are any of your SO staying at home with your LOs?
If so does he do anything you do not like, and what is the best way to deal with it?
I beleive my DH is letting out DD cry it out, and isnt doing much to comfort her. She is only 2 mth old. I have told him not to several times and he is like even when i hold her it doesnt calm her down. How come I have no problem keeping her clam when I am there. She crys I let her know I am there and she calms down. I just do not think he is giving her the attnetion she needs. Its very fustrating....I just needed to vent a litle before I completely go off on him.
Re: Stay at home dads
I was convinced DH was going to let LO CIO since he was always like "just let him cry already!" but he has been pretty good about it. Your DH may actually surprise you later on with how he cares for LO....... we have been trying to stick with a nap schedule for LO now (hasn't been our most successful venture) and DH was determined to have him nap in his crib. I thought he would just leave him up there to CIO and for the first time both of us tried that method but once it was unsuccessful he would only let him cry for 10 mins before going upstairs, bringing him down, and letting LO sleep on him (which he would within a minute).
I think sometimes it's easy to feel horrible about LO crying... but you also have to give yourself a little break. If LO is fed, burped, has a fresh diaper, and you have been holding/rocking him and she STILL cries that's NOT letting your LO CIO... that's your LO being inconsolable. There really isn't much you can do at that point (maybe try some gripe water?)
