I have never heard of that before---I mean for years and years all they had was forward facing. Thats what I was in when I was a kid and I think I turned out ok??? Hmmm...
This reminds me of an article I read a few years ago (NOT a study). The author claimed parents were lowering children's self esteem by carrying them in an infant carseat, because it communicated to the babies that they weren't any more important than a shopping bag or a purse.
I understand the importance of interacting with your child, but I would hope that my kid spends significantly less time in a stroller or carseat than they do in my arms and interacting with me.
Seriously? Kids would get bored staring at their parents all the time! Most kids like being in forward-facing strollers so they can look around and see what's going on.
