Is my child just messy or does everyone with girls have this problem? She will feed herself but things inevitably end up in her hair, so we have to wash it as least once a day and I trying to clean gunk out of it at every meal. A perfect example is yogurt, it ends up caked in her hair and we have to fight to clean it out. Her hair isn't long enough for a ponytail and doing pigtails is a big fight and she will try to pull them out, so spreading the food to the back of her hair too. Is there an easier solution? Just cut all her hair off? : )
Re: Eating and hair
Just wanted to add, the barrettes or ponytail wouldn't work for us, since she tends to grab at the back of her head, specifically behind her ears. If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears!
Yeah that happens sometimes, too, lol! I'm thinking a shower cap might be our solution!
I think if she was older, that would be our option, but I honestly don't think she understands what she is doing other than "I want to touch my hair so I am going to touch my hair." She isn't disobeying or doing it to get a rise out of us, she has always had this habit of running her hands through her hair. Tina - a shower cap doesn't sound like a bad option haha
Alright, well at least it's not just me. She won't keep barrettes in either, but maybe if I have the food in front of her, then I could clip them in? It's funny because yogurt, bananas, and mac and cheese are our 3 biggest food problems.
