I haven't had baby blues, but rather MIL irritation! It seems like everything she does drives me nuts. As I type this she is across the room slurping something. Every time the baby cries she asks if I want her to take the baby. She also peeks in the room when I'm nursing, it's a little creepy. Tomorrow I'm home alone with her all day tommorow, hopefully I won't snap at her.
Re: Hormones, what are they doing to you?
Yes, I'm not sure I can totally blame it on hormones, but the MIL is driving me crazy too. I know I need to be nice for the sake of DH, but yday she was on skype with my BIL and her cousins introducing them to Lillian and she's telling them her shirt says "Smile"...in the kitchen I remark to DH "it says I have Mommy's Smile". I know DH thought I was being petty, but I think it was intentional (really nice to call to the family right when I had to go pump too (which I did to be nice so they could visit more with Lillian instead of me taking her to feed).
Sorry, didn'tmean to make this a mini-rant, but wow I feel better!
They've mostly made me really emotional about BFing and DD's slow weight gain. I am terrified I am not giving her enough milk since she's gaining slowly, so I've shed quite a few tears over it.
It also causes crazy temperature fluctuations. I go from HOT to FREEZING in just minutes. It's annoying :-/
Same here with the easy water works. Im not one to cry at all ever, but these hormones can make the tears come at the drop of a hat. Forget watching any type of program that has to do with kids, I tear up instantly!
Also, my skin isnt dealing with the hormones too well. Its not pimples, just blotchy, but that might be more from lack of sleep and the crazy weather. Who knows...
