It's no secret that I'm fashion-challenged, so can you guys help me out, please?
(1)Are these ugly? Ok? current, I guess? and (2) if acceptable, what would one wear with them?
I have no clue...and shouldn't have bought them without help in the first place. I must be the reason personal shoppers were invented...and really ought to price one out... Anyway, they've been sitting in my closet unworn because I can't figure out if it was a bad purchase-on-a-whim or, if not, what to pair with them?
I won't delete unless it turns out I should be embarassed for the purchase.
eta: I was planning to wear them in an office setting/to work, not casually with jeans. And if anyone has a more versatile boot (in black or brown) they'd love to PIP/link, I'm open to suggestions (before I buy this time!)
Re: nbr: fashion help, please? (boots)
i'm a bit fashion challenged myself and do what you do with buying something first before really knowing how to wear it. i see this boot with an a-line skirt, tights and nice blouse. and according to pinterest, sweater dress + boots = cute.
Ugly? No. Current? Not really. Acceptable? Totally.
They're conservative. I'm not a fan of the heel or the toe myself, but that's just my opinion. I've decided that if I'm going to have a heel, by god it's going to be a 4" w a platform. Otherwise it's a flat or a riding boot sort of stacked heel.
But you could totally wear these with a sweater dress or skinny jeans. They're just NMS.

Ditto AustinBride. They're cute, but it might be hard to dress down your outfit with these boots.
I think they are cute and look like a pair that I own. I would wear them in a heartbeat.
You can wear them with any dress or skirt in an office setting or even in a casual setting really. Just go to g oo g l e and search "dress with tall boots" in the image box and you get all sorts of great ideas.
