I went to Target and when I presented a formula check the cashier asked for my drivers license. I have used my checks a couple times before and no one asked for ID. What concerns me is that I'm sitting on a stash of about 30-five dollar
Simlac checks and only about 10 are in my name. Has anyone else been asked for ID?
A side-note I will not use my checks at Walmart because it took 4 people to figure it out one time and the 2nd time they couldn't figure out how to use it all and told me the check was invalid, huh?
I'm really interested if it was just this cashier or a Target thing to check ID?

I haven't had anybody ask for my ID yet. I know what you mean too, with the checks not being in my name.
My local Walmart too can't figure out how to process those checks.

I have used them at Walmart and Target, w/o needed ID. If you go to Target again....mine processed it as "other check" button...then "Rebate" button...lol, incase next time they dont know how to process it.
I alway thought if they questioned it with my DL I would say Im picking it up for my sis or something.

I've also never been asked for my ID at Target when using the checks.
I had a few $10 off coupons (coupons.com) and they were a PITA to use. The Target cashier had to ask another cashier and the second cashier said they don't normally accept $10 off coupons for formula, but they will make an exception that one time since I was already there.(weird I know, but whatever).
The cashiers at 2 other grocery stores had issues with the coupons also.
I really don't care. I'll continue taking the coupons to Target and elsewhere.
I have never had to show ID... but I have a funny story about using a check at Walmart.
So, I go to pay for my order and I have a nursing bra, box of rice cereal, 2 jars of baby food and a can of Similac formula. First the teenaged cashier is confused by my free coupons for the beechnut cereal and food. He keeps saying the cereal is only 1.44 and the coupons says up to 1.50 so I can't use it. I try to explain that up to means I can get the cereal bc it is under 1.50. Eventually, I tell him forget about i because we are in the express line and there are now five angry customers behind me. Then when I give him the check, he is really confused. He ends up using a $5 check to pay for my whole order, which was worth $30! He handed me my bag and I was so frustrated at this point, I just left. I got everything for free!
Do you happen to know what keys they use at Wal-Mart by chance so I can school the cashier there?
