1. 10w2d pregnant! I feel absolutely fine, but have weird food aversions. It's been hard going from a self-proclaimed foodie to having no taste for anything. Makes cooking hard.
2. I'm doing cupcakes! See below post. I ordered them last night (I'm not a good enough baker to make my own). Half will be chocolate fudge cake with chocolate frosting, the other half will be raspberry swirl cake with buttercream. They'll have little footprints in various colors with "6.17.09" underneath. I'm not going to say anything until someone asks what that means or figures it out. I'm excited - my workplace is like a family. We're all pretty good friends.
3. Typically we do have turkey at Christmas, but if since we'll be with my parents this year, I think we're going to have filet. We like beef.
1. Where are you in your cycle, pregnancy, or pp? How are you feeling?
4m 2w 2d pp. Feeling great! Gracie slept thru the night lastnight...no fussing or anything.
2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous?
I actually had some spotting so I had to go to the Dr a day that I was scheduled to work....I just came out and told my boss that I needed the day off and explained what was going on. She was very understanding and comforting. I was a little nervous.
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal?
Pretty much....Thanksgiving we have just turkey and at Christmas we have ham.
1. CD3. Feeling great! A wee bit sore from painting last night. WOW. That's a workout.
2. Hopefully I won't have a "job" other than a self-created one by the time we start our family in 1.5-2 years. We'll see. If I'm still working outside our home, I'll likely wait till the second trimester if at all possible, then just spill the beans
3. Kind of. Our Thanksgiving meal is usually more "all-out" than our Christmas Dinner because there are more ppl at Thanksgiving. Christmas Dinner usually involves two soups, a ham and some sides where Thanksgiving is turkey, ham, noodles, etc.
1. 6 months post partum. Feeling good. Taking my last pill of my first Yaz pack today. I guess now I just wait for AF to start? I'm taking an antibiotic right now though, so hopefully it doesn't interfere with it. Ellie is wonderful too. She is back to her happy self, so I'm glad about that. OH! And she is getting a tooth!! You can't see it yet, but you can feel it.
2. I sat down with my boss and told him. I emailed the 3 attorneys that I work with. They are all male and let's just say that they were typical men. A lot of the women I work with were really excited for me though! I just told people in person as I saw them around the office.
3. We have turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas. Most of the sides are the same though.
1. 8DPO, feeling good now that I'm over my sickness I had last weekend. I've had a backache though for the past week pretty much. I think from all my laying around last weekend.
2. I haven't really given this much thought, so I don't know.
3. yes, except we normally have ham at Christmas.

1. 20w4d, I think. I feel good but need to buy a fancy pillow asap! My back hurt again this morning (it feels fine now!)
2. I just told my boss first, then my boss brought in bagels for me, and I just told my coworkers. Nothing creative. I was really nervous but also excited.
3. My mom always made bean soup on Christmas Eve growing up - so no. This year we're going to my in-laws for the 1st time for Christmas, and I have no clue what we're having. I'm guessing it's probably similar to Thanksgiving. When our family starts our own Christmas celebrations next year, I plan to mix it up. I don't like having the same thing every year.
Lauren - when you mail me that puppy chow can you throw in a few cupcakes?
1. 1dp5dt (I've been dying to type that! It's 1 day past 5 day transfer) I'm feeling good - watching Gilmore Girls from bed.
2. I imagine I'll run in and blurt it out. I work in a small office with 6 men,and bizarrely enough they've all been interested in the IVF stuff. (They knew about it in the first place because I'm friends with their wives.) So it will be against all of those when you're supposed to tell work rules, but they'll know right away.
3. Almost identical, except there won't be any fried turkey at Christmas.
They'll have little footprints in various colors with "6.17.09" underneath. I'm not going to say anything until someone asks what that means or figures it out.
I'm glad you're using my idea! yay! (about the due date!)
I am 8w3d. I still have a cold and cannot stop talking.Of course my OB told me that I basically cannot have any cough suppresants so I am just taking something that is suppose to help...it doesn't help!
They already know...I am a teacher and a few of the kids found out (one of their siblings works with my Mom). Also I have been randomly snacking in class.
Yes, our meals are similar. I don't really like turkey so they normally make some sort of ham for me at our family events!
1) 18w4d - feeling good. I wish little one would get off my bladder because every time I stand up, I wince in pain.
2) My immediate boss - I told him much earlier than I had planned to. It was just the two of us in a conference room, and he was like, "Guess what? Melissa's (his wife) pregnant again!" so I was like, "Guess what? So am I!" I figured there wouldn't be any better time than that to tell him. Our higher-level bosses, I wrote a nice long email that included an explanation of my GD and the fact that I would have extra appointments because of it and would have to test my blood and give myself insulin throughout the day (and I explained how quickly each of those could be done!). It was more of a "hey, this is what's going on, so it's on file that I informed you on this date" than a "hey, be happy with me!" Of course, they were all happy for me and offered their congratulations, but it wasn't a "bring in cupcakes and tell everyone" type of thing (I couldn't have eaten any, anyway!). I told them in my email I was ok with everyone else knowing, and it kind of spread like wildfire (i.e. they came up to me to offer congratulations, then other people asked me why they were congratulating me, on and on).
3) Haven't thought about it yet. Probably not. I think my family will be here, but it'll be pretty laid-back.
1. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, only 10 more weeks! I told my dh last night that I know once he is here, we'll have a whole new set of challenges, but I seriously cannot wait until this heartburn and nausea are gone. I'm SO over it.
2. I told my immediate boss at 8 weeks b/c I was going to the doctor so much (monitored by RE) and I didn't want her to think I was interviewing or something. Told everyone else after my first ob visit at 12 weeks.
3. Not really, Thanksgiving is typical stuff and Christmas is usually roast beef with different sides than we had at Thanksgiving.
2. ?I work at a dental office. ?We had an opening for a cleaning, I had yet to have treatment there so I had to fill in my medical history. ?I checked the box that says Pregnant currently then the secret was out. ?I was a bit nervous since I took the job not knowing I was pg, I felt like I could have been let go....
1. Where are you in your cycle, pregnancy, or pp? How are you feeling? CD 5, feeling good physically. Today is the end of a very stressful work week with today as the peak of the stress. Let me just tell you, I will sleep very well tonight, and then.....it will all be worth it when I'm on that flight to LA tomorrow!
2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous? If I'm at this job, I will most likely either just announce it at a faculty mtg (the way people have done before) or do it with some sort of treat (definitely a copycat, I know, but I think it's a cute idea!)
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal? Um, I'm not 100% sure, because I'm not in charge of cooking either one! Thanksgiving will be traditional; I would suspect that Christmas #1 will be either filet, ham, or turkey and #2 (with the extended fam) will be either traditional American or Polish. Either way, I don't mind - it's all so yummy!
2. I was in school so I didn't really tell anyone.
3. No, totally different. Thanksgiving - we have turkey, traditional food. Christmas - beef tenderloin filets, twice baked potatoes, rich chocolate cake, etc. It is my all time favorite meal. SERIOUSLY AWESOME.

1. Where are you in your cycle, pregnancy, or pp? How are you feeling? Just playing the waiting game but my chart looks funny--not going up at all post O shift-- and I have zero of the "symptoms" that other people seem to get so I'm not getting all worked up this month.
2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous? Who knows but we go out for drinks after work at least once/month and I have been drinking less and less (like maybe 1 beer in a few hours) since we've been TTC so I know that they are starting to suspect that somethings up.
3. Is you Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal? Thanksgiving will be pretty traditional--I'm cooking and that's what I like! We'll be having Christmas dinner at th ILs this year and I have no idea what they do for dinner. I am not excited about spending my first Christmas away from my family.
1. 5dpo I think? So on Monday's checkin I think I mentioned that we BD'd uproctected and I ovulated earlier than normal which was within a day of BDing. Well today I am having some weird cramping/pain and heavy CM. Watch the one time I am told not to get pg I will be. We'll go from not being able to conceive for 6 months to conceiving every cycle. I shouldn't worry about it until about December 3rd when I would be late.
2. I told a few close friends early, but my boss didn't know until I miscarried and needed to stay home for a few days. Actually more people found out b/c I m/c'd then knew I as pg. In the future, I might still tell the same people early on and my boss by probably 8-10 weeks b/c I will have more dr. appts than normal, but I won't tell anyone else until after 1st tri. It definetly made it easier coming back that only a handful of people knew anything.
3. Generally turkey and homemade noodles, mash potatoes and vegetables for Thanksgiving. Ham, cheesy potatoes, etc. for Christmas. But sometimes they are the same. My mom generally tries to do the opposite of what my inlaws have so we don't have the same meal again.
1. Where are you in your cycle, pregnancy, or pp? How are you feeling?
CD 27 - just waiting to see if AF is going to show up or not. Feeling fine other than some lovely acid reflux that has decided to show up lately.
2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous?
Have no clue. I guess it depends on when it happens and if I am even working at that time and where.
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal?
Nope - not really. Thanksgiving is the traditional meal. For Christmas we always have steak, potato, salad, etc on Christmas Eve and then a huge brunch Christmas day.
1. End of first week of pills. Coming out of the worst cold of my LIFE, complete with Mon-Wed home from work and sacked out on the couch. I'm feeling much better than earlier in the week, but still pretty crappy in general.
2. Not a clue. Won't have to think about this for awhile!

2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous?
I was super nervous... but they took it really well. I told my friend here first, then waited to tell the boss. Then I just told everyone.
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal?
No, not in my family. I don't know what T.J. and I will do for Christmas this year though since it'll be our first one at home!
Joseph Henry was born at home on March 9, 2009

1. 27w5d pg...feeling great!
2. I just told them. I work with a ton of women and was #20 on the list of currently pregnant women. It wasn't a big deal
3. It's fairly similar. We may do chicken instead of turkey, but otherwise it's usually pretty similar.
1. 8w3d, feeling a little dizzy. I just got my blood drawn and a flu shot. BLAH!
2. I have not told work yet. I am pretty excited. There will be a couple who will be very excited.

2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous?
Honestly, I don't remember
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal?
On one side of the family, very similar. For Christmas on the other side, it's flank steak for the meat and some similar sides as T-giving
1. Just a couple days shy of 5wk pp. Feeling great
2. Our unit is so big that after telling a few of my close friends at work and random people...tthe news travelled fast.
3. Kind of...except for the meats. Turkey on Thanksgiving and ham on Christmas day. Christmas Eve is a lot different than our Thanksgiving dinner...

2. How will you or did you tell your work that you're pregnant? Are you excited or nervous? I'll probably just tell people individually.
3. Is your Christmas/holiday meal similar to your Thanksgiving meal?
Yeah, we usually have turkey and all the trimmings at both.
