I usually try to do my walks around nap time so my 2 yr old just will nap in the stroller and I can get my hour of walking in. But living in florida and waiting until 1pm to walk starts to get really hot. She wont sit still in the stroller while I walk if she is not sleeping. I have tried snacks and toys but it only works for a few minutes and then she wants out to walk and starts to have a fit.
Anyone have any advice on how to keep her entertained in the stroller?
I usually do about 4-5 miles in and hour to and hour and a half.

Can you get your walk in earlier? Maybe that's the reason she's fussy - because she's used to napping and can't?
I would do it early in the morning or late afternoon.
I think I might try some music. She loves music as well.
Earlier is worse. She will refuse to nap if I do not make her. Her usual nap time is right at 1pm and she will nap till 3. She is just a very active little girl and would rather walk than sit and ride. So I was just looking for a way to keep her more entertained while we walk. Thats all.

What is odd about a 1pm nap?
Sorry, I don't think I'll be much help, but do you think you could up it to a jog, instead of a walk? My DS was always more entertained if we were going "fast", instead of walking, and would stay in the stroller longer.
I don't think 1pm is odd, but I think it's odd you expect your child to nap while you're out walking. Get your exercise in another time and let your child sleep in her own comfy crib, not in a stroller. Would you like to try to go to sleep, peacefully and uninteruppted, in a stroller outside? Your child will have a much better quality nap indoors.
I have so many friends who have total disregard for naptime, take their kids out all the time and keep them up much past their bedtime, and then wonder why they're so cranky all the time. I'm not a harda$$ for much, but naps and mealtimes, absolutely. Designate a naptime, and designate a walk time, and bring along things your child likes to keep her entertained. Books, stuffed animals, crayons, or something snacky; when we're out walking I give my daughter a rice cake and she nibbles on that most of the way.
