Sleep Sack Users: What does baby wear?

If you use a sleep sack, what do you dress your baby in underneath?  We try and keep the nursery cool but don't want DD to get too warm.  We're getting close to the point where we'll need to wean from the swaddle (dreading this) so want to prepare.

  • we alternate between the warm sleep sack and the cotton one (crazy weather!) and underneath dd wears footed pjs. sometimes warm ones, other times just cotton ones (all long sleeve). her room is about 72-73 degrees and we have the ceiling fan going most of the time.

  • When it's warm out (could be August, could be February--gotta love Austin), he wears short sleeved/shorts cotton PJ's and a thick sleep sack. When it's cold, long sleeved/pants cotton PJs and a thick sleep sack. We use the Aiden + Anais sleeping bag for nighttime. Naps, it varies--sometimes we use the single layer A+A and sometimes the thick one depending on his temp and the temp outside.

When our heater is on, his room is between 67-70 degrees and when the AC is on it's between 73-76.

  • Ditto blondie. We have different types of sleep sacks--some are warmer than others. We try to balance what he wears underneath with the type of sack we're using--fleece footed jammies with the sleeveless fleece sleep sack for cold nights or a cotton sack for regular nights, or regular cotton footed jammies with long sleeve fleece sack for cold nights or regular cotton (no sleeve) sack in the summer. All long sleeve, footed jammies. Even in the summer.
