STTN & Eating more in the AM

DS has been going to sleep between 9:30 and 10:00 and the last 2 nights DS has slept for 5 1/2-6 1/2 hours his first sleep stretch of the night. Which is great! When he wakes up he nurses and goes back to sleep for another 3 1/2-4 hours. By the time it's morning time and he's getting up for the day it seems like he wants to nurse like every hour for the first 2 or 3 hours that he's awake. I think it's because he is "making up" for what he didn't eat while he was sleeping. But I'm not sure. 

Any one else experiencing this when their LO's starts to sleep in longer stretches during the night?

    My DS has been sleeping similarly the past few nights. In the morning he nurses for a longer period of time (like 40mins vs. his usual 20). So, kind of the same idea. He goes to daycare now and they don't give him his first bottle until a few hours after his last nurse so I guess he must be full from the longer session

    Yes! Avery slept from 6 30 until 1, ate two ounces, then slept until 730. When she ate her normal 4 oz, then 2 more right after. Making up for lost eating time I suppose. Fine by me!

    Yep.  We feed DD right before we go to bed (between 10-11) she will sleep until about 6:30 when she wakes up to eat.  Then she will eat at 8 and 9 then go back to her usual 2-3 hours.

    DD sleeps 8-10 hours at night and will usually wake up have 4 oz and then sleep another 3-4 hours and then she pretty much eats every 1.5-2 hours during the day except for maybe one 3-4 hour nap.

    D2 feeds more at night, so she prepares herself I guess.

    So last night she ate at 8, 9 and 10:30pm and then slept from 11-6:30, had a big nurse and is still sleeping at 9:30am.
