Lower stomach sore, not just incision

It has been 4 weeks since my c section.  My incision is really low and doesn't  bother me but the area between my belly button and the incision is very tender.  I wear high waisted pants so it doesn't rest on this area.  My follow up OB appt isn't for another 2 weeks.  Is this normal?

    I don't know if it's normal, but it is for me.   My soreness is exactly where my pooch starts, and it's inside.  The skin is almost numb to the touch.  My follow up is Monday and I'm sure she will tell me it's normal.

    Yes, it is normal.  Cesareans take a long time to fully heal.  Remember your muscles were spread apart and a person was pulled through them.  As long as it is not infected-meaning extreme pain, swelling, redness, oozing incision, etc, it is all normal.

    I had the same thing...

    Did you get a lot of stretch marks?  I think my "deflated" stretch marks were causing the tenderness.  I've just been putting lotion on my belly and it's been getting better.

    I am 6 weeks and 2 days post c section and mine is still sore.

    im over 6 weeks PO and i'm still soar around my incision on my left side. I was told this is normal because of all the tugging and pulling that was done.

    Normal for me too.  My LO is 4 months old and I don't have many problems with the incision anymore but this area is still tender.  And because I'm tall it seems everything I do bumps into it - the counter, the washer, the sink - and reminds me how sore it is.
