Alright. Judge all you want but y'all really don't know me so I'm letting it out here!! My SIL is a mess! A big mess, so much that she had bed bugs in her apt and only fogged the place and nothing else. Well that does NOTHING to get rid of the problem. Well, she moved to her parents house and brought her box and mattress with her and get little friends!! Fast forward to November when she came to visit us when LO was born. Yes she brought her little friends too! Fast forward to jan and I start getting bites. Thinking that maybe a spider or mosquito? Mites!? I had rakes some leaves. NEVER in a million years did I think I would have bed bugs in my new house! So 2500 dollars later and tons of laundry and all my bedding ( that I love and was expensive) in the trash we are bug free. Oh and we can't be in our rooms for 4 days. And so we are living in the living room with a 2 month old and sleeping on couches. My FIL just said "oh" when we told him. "oh" really! What an idiotic thing to do!! I told husband man that no one from his family is allowed back in my house until they do something to get rid of the problem. No one!!! I'm so pissed. Took time

From work and all the cleaning and supplies and orkin man ***! Ugh if any of those nasty critters would have bitten my son I would have killed his sister. He of course is just as mad   Thank god DH is clean!

    Wow.  I would be upset too.  I think you are totally justified in not letting them back in your house.

    Wow.  So they're just living with bedbugs?  Weird.  You are so right in this situation--I wouldn't let them back in, either.

    Wow, I'd be furious too!  That is ridiculous that she is spreading them everywhere!!!  Good luck and I'm so sorry you had to go through that!

    How terrible! I thought I had it bad when my FIL brought fleas into my house and they got my cat! That was redick to get rid of too, cant imagine bedbugs!

    I guess they haven't noticed or they all came here? But no only are we not going there, they have a beach house that we will not be returning to. H is upset because he grew up going there. Or the cabin in the mountains that FIL wants us to take LO to. Hells no. I will not go anywhere SIL has been to!! Not not trying to overreact but damn if I'm having this problem again! Yuk

    On a funny note. H came in while I was using restroom and asked "where I'm I supposed to pee?" I said I dont know, ask your sister. ;)

    You aren't overreacting,  At.All.  $2500 to clean it all?  Unbelievable.  I still can't get over this and I read this post several hours ago.  How embarrasing for your DH...poor guy, having a family like that. 

    andplusalso...your LO is way too damn cute to have freakin bed bug bites.  Seriously.

    It's more the sister! oh and 2500 was just to get orkin to come out. We have bought tons of new stuff plus a mattress, damn if Im sleeping in that one EVER

    I'd be sending all the bills to her residence.  Unreal.  None of my business, but it sounds like you guys are financially able to take a hit like this.  Me, personally (lowly state worker that I am) I would really be in a bind if something like that happened.  We probably would be sleeping on the living room rug in sleeping bags. Embarrassed

    I would be livid if that happen to me. I seen a show called Infested on Animal Planet about bed bugs and they are a nightmare. I would be sending her the bill.

    Oh wow, bedbugs are the worst, we've gotten them from a friend before and it's awful! I wouldn't let any of them in either, those are seriously the worst and most expensive bugs
