DD and I are going on a little trip tomorrow, we're flying down to visit my family for a couple days.  I am soooo excited, everyone can't wait to see her.  I am a little nervous about getting through security with her all by myself.  I'm going to wear her in the moby, but I'm worried that I'll have to take the whole thing off because she can't go through the metal detectors.  I just hope the TSA agents are nice and understanding, and that it will be fairly easy to get it back on.

    She has a shunt to control her hydrocephauls (excess fluid in the brain).  The shunt valve is basically a magnet and going through the metal detectors could reset the pressure.  We have to keep her away from magnets, though refrigerator ones aren't strong enough to do any harm.

    Good luck mama! We flew when LO was 6 weeks old and everyone at the airport was super helpful. The staff moved us to first in line for security and helped put together her stroller. And thankfully other passengers were patient.  I took the nippy pillow, which was a lifesaver: LO just slept most of the time on the 2 flights there and 2 flights back. (oh, and friends recommended I take a change of clothes for baby and me, plus a ton of extra diapers just in case). Enjoy your trip!
