Trouble TTC

serious question: 10dpo and having sudden severe cramping

it's coming in waves but it's seriously taking my f'ing breath away here.  it's like the worst period cramps x 100 but there is no sign of a period.  I did  gonal-f + trigger + iui and am taking endomitrin 2 x a day.   is it just the progesterone?  could my period just be on its way with a shorter luteal phase (i am almost always 14 days lp)??

it's coming and going, but when it's here it's insane!   i am not holding out hope that it's a bfp either, nor did it feel ANYTHING like this last time i was pregnant.

Re: serious question: 10dpo and having sudden severe cramping

  • I had cramping like that. It's hard to fully describe but it would definitely take my breath away. In fact a couple times I felt like I could double over because of the pain. I still get a few cramps like that every once in a while. FX for a good out come for you. when are you testing?

  • Injections can make for a shorter LP, but if you're in a lot of pain, I'd call your doctor.  Might be cysts.  Hope you feel better soon.  Sad

  • I don't have experience with that (yet) but I hope you feel better soon and that everything's ok!

  • I'd call right away just to be in the clear.  That's exactly how my OHSS feels, and it tends to appear around 7-10 days after O. I'd just be in the cautious side just in case.  Make sure you keep drinking water, not matter what the cause is dehydration will amplify it.

Usually it's bed rest and lots of fluids.  Along with water, be sure to drink gatorade or anything with electrolytes in it.  Hope it not OHSS but to be safe, definitely call your doctor and get some gatorade!

  • And I hate to say it, but OHSS happens more often with a pregnancy, IIRC.  Hope you're feeling better by now!  Keep us posted.
