Hi everyone. This week was a very interesting week for my family. We found out we are going to be having twins. I am curious if theres more to preparing for twins than for a single child than just doubling up on everything? These 2 will make child 3 and 4 for us. So luckily this wont be our first time out with a baby.

Re: Very curious
my girls were #3 and #4 for us. I still had my swing, highchair, and jumperoo from my 3 yr old, so I didn't have to rebuy much. I started stocking up on diapers and wipes whenever I found great deals so I wouldn't have to go out immediately and buy them when the girls got here.
I don't know if you live near anyone who can help you out with your older ones, but that was a major deal for me. I ended up on hospital bedrest for 9-10 weeks. I am a SAHM therefore my kids don't go to daycare so my mom was able to come from out of state and stay with my older ones and keep the household kind of running while I was gone. Hopefully you won't have to go through anything like that. But when we finally got home, our neighbors' college age daughter brought dinner over a few times as well as taking my 3 yr old out of the house.. total lifesaver.
Congratulations!
I'm kind of a baby gear freak, so I have two of everything! And I mean everything! Swings, bouncy seats, excersaucers, bumbos, PnP's, play gyms, baby bjorn carriers, double grocery cart cover, walkers, johnny jump-ups, baths seats (only one tub though), bassinets, and of course, double the toys and clothes!
I also have double of the obvious things, like cribs, car seats, high chairs, and a few different double stollers (DSNG, Joovy Caboose triple tandem, and Combi Twin Sport).
I really just love to buy all this stuff, so I'm sure you could do without a lot of it. I did get some stuff on Craig's List, so that's always something to check out. The twins were my #2 and #3, so I was trying to match some stuff from my oldest daughter, but found that the patterns, etc. were already discontinued (even though she's only 3 year older). I was able to find a matching swing ($10), matching bouncy seat ($5), matching PNP ($30), and the list goes on. I also went to my local Mother's of Multiples Consignment sale and got bumbos, slings, PNP sheets, and all kind of other stuff!
