Scared about all the meds I'm taking.

I'm so worried about all the meds I have had to be on in the last few weeks. We go for our next OB appointment  a week from Monday and I worry that something will be wrong. 

 

I am on zofran for the ALL day sickness that I have had since week 7, now thanks to an infected,impacted wisdom tooth I am also on amoxicillin and they gave me hydrocodone for the pain relief. I tried to take the pain meds as little as possible but I still felt like a bad mom taking it:(

 

The meds were all approved by my OB but I still worry. Now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed I won't have to have oral surgery while I'm pregnant.

    Don't feel guilty. The baby is not going to get nourishment from you if you can't keep food down. It is also very important for you to take the antibiotics so the infection doesn't get worse and hurt the baby. As long as your doctor has okayed the meds, I wouldn't worry.

    Antibiotics are very safe and many pregnant women take them during pregnany for various reasons. Hydrocodone is just a strong form of Tylenol and as long as it isn't taken for a prolonged period it is considered safe. I had to have a root canal at 6 weeks pregnant and I was in hell just taking regular Tylenol. The second trimester is the safest time to have oral surgery unless you wait till after baby is born, but dental issues can get very serious during pregnancy so the benefits of oral surgery and antibotics definently outweigh the risks...

    Thanks ladies for making me feel a little bit better. I've read everything about having surgery during pregnancy and while it all sounds logical my pregnant brain is going a million miles a minute and making me feel coo coo.
