I think it's worth a shot, but I'd plan on not staying the entire time. I don't think DD has the attention span to be happy for the entire thing. I might leave at intermission (if there is one).
I am going next weekend. We went to a live disney show. My daughter did well. When she was tired she just went to sleep. She watched over half of the show
If he doesn't want to go, you can take me. Seriously though, I don't think DS would sit through the whole thing. I think it will just depend on how entertained he is by it and the people around him. Let us know how it goes!

We went to disney on ice around christmas. He freaking loved it!! He literally sat and watched the whole thing, clapped and smiled the whole time. It was a great time for all of us.

My first thought was why not wait until he can really enjoy it but after Britt's (your new screen name completely escapes me right now!) response my second thought was go for it!
I know my LO probably wouldn't be that into it but the Sesame Street show looks so cute!! I just saw that one advertised.
don't know how long it is...but we recently took pw to 2 ice hockey games & he did awesome! i was freakin terrified of going (it was a weekend long trip to Colorado Springs-6hr drive for us, 2-3hrs of hockey games that only started at 7:00pm, and staying in the same hotel room with him). he DOES NOT sleep well with us in the room & is even worse about sitting on our laps...he's a pretty squirmy little guy. but he absolutely loved all of the people watching & couldnt take his eyes off the skaters. only thing that got him a little worked up was the crowd cheering periodically. i'd say try it if you're ok with losing the money if you need to leave.

I took my 3 year old and we had a blast! I would not have taken the 1 year old because she cannot sit still long enough to enjoy it. She'd be crying and trying to get away the whole time and an arena is not a fun place to chase a new toddler. I'd wait until they were older.
