Mini vacation rave

We went to Great Escpae Lodge and Indoor Waterpark, yesterday, overnight until today.  We loved it!  There was so much for the boys to do, and the rooms were really nice.  The beds were super comfortable.  There are 2 restaurants on premises and a snack bar.  We loved doing the lazy river with both boys.  I highly recommend it for a short getaway.  We got a great weeknight deal...$109 for a 2 Queen Suite (partitioned off sitting area, not a separate room) and 4 waterpark passes.  I will say though...I am exhausted.  It is a lot more tiring taking 2 kids on vacation, then it is one, because there is never a break :).  But so worth it....  Off to rest...

    I saw that on fb and was hoping to see a review here! I'm glad you guys had fun. Where did you have the boys sleep? Did they sleep in a bed together or did you and dh each take one or use a crib? If they slept in bed with you and don't at home, how did that go? In a year or so I would love to do this. Well really I would love to do this now with Ellie, but have no desire to take Clayton until he is closer to a year, so we'll wait.

    My niece (who is 30) and her family went and had a great time too. They asked us to go with them next time. After hearing both her rave and now yours, we may just have to go check it out!

    We brought the PNP for Andrew and Evan slept in bed with me.  Andrew was in the paritioned area, so he slept good, only waking up once looking around crying like "where am I"?  I went over rocked him and he went back to sleep.  Evan took awhile to settle down.  With no nap and the excitement of it all, he just had a hard time winding down.  He settled in about 9 (usually in bed at 7:30).  He slept great all night, but boy does he move a lot.  I slept good despite his moving :).  We all slept in until 7, which never happens for DH and I and rarely for Andrew. We figured this was our "practice" before a week away in NC.

    So glad you enjoyed it! I've been toying with the idea of getting a half day pass since we're so close, but haven't figured out when we'd do it.

    DH and I got married there : ) They have a beautiful little (hidden) garden area outdoors, and had the reception in their big hall. A ton of our guests stayed overnight two nights and we swam during the day and drank and drank at  Johnny Rockets till 2 am :) It was a BLAST!

    BFP 3/4/11, measured behind all along, no more HB 4/18/11. D&C 4/29/11. HCG didn't drop, Repeat D&C 6/17/11; confirmed molar pregnancy 6/23/11.
    Forced break, including two Hysteroscopies in October to remove retained tissue.
    BFP 12/29/11! Betas @ 10 dpo = 85, 14 dpo= 498, 22 dpo = 7242
    Heard HB 1/24/12. 144 bpm!

    Luca Rose born 9/9/12! More than worth the wait!
