I posted last week that my kidneys weren't doing so well, but we were still planning on waiting to 38 weeks to induce. Well, after my appointment on Friday my OB said he didn't want to wait until next week to find out how my kidneys were doing, so he sent me to L&D. I was really expecting to be in and out and that things would be OK, but we discovered my kidneys had gotten worse still in the last two weeks. My kidney function has dropped about 40% since December. They were talking about inducing yesterday, but they talked to my nephrologist and decided they think we can wait until 36 weeks. We're going to do an amnio to check lung maturity, but seems I'll be a mommy in 13 days or less. I'm glad to have made it this far, and I know 36 weeks is so close to full term, and I'm thankful we didn't have to induce yesterday. I'm just terrified the kidney damage isn't temporary and we won't know until a few weeks after the baby is born. If you could add us to your thoughts and prayers list we'd really appreciate it
