what am I missing?

in D.C. Area Babies

for the new baby...I have the following all set:

-lots of clothes (sleepers, onesies, etc) in NB and 0-3mos

-burp cloths

-receiving blankets, miracle blankets, sleep sack swaddlers

-crib sheets

-newborn diapers, wipes, diaper cream 

-infant car seat/bases (although the bases need to be installed...will do that this week)

-bouncer seats, swing

-bottles/nipples, bottle brush

-breast pump (ugh...not looking forward to hooking up to that thing again), pumping bra

-nursing bras for me and lanolin 

eta: also have pacifers 

 

Anything obvious that I'm forgetting?

    bath towels/wash cloths?

    rattles?

    lotion for after baths?

    Looks like you're in good shape!  A couple of ideas:

    --Boppy or MyBrestFriend (although I've used mine less with DD than I did with DS)

    Are you going to get anything new for your pump? I'm getting new tubing and membranes since mine has been sitting in a box for 2.5 years. Nursing pads and milk storage bags?

    Thanks, ladies!

    -plenty of towels and wash clothes...never used lotion on my son except when he had a touch of eczema later on, so I'm skipping it for now. 

    -I do have nursing pillows and a couple baby carriers. I still want to get an Ergo, but I'm waiting to see if this kid is as much of a puker as Warner was...it's definitely a factor!

    -and this morning I ordered new parts for my pump and milk storage bags and I do have nursing pads

    okay, I feel (somewhat) good that I've got most of this stuff :-)

    Does nursing bras include nursing tanks?  I lived in those during maternity leave.  Also, do you have slippers for yourself for when you have to get out of bed to nurse?  Cold feet are something I can't tolerate.

    And then the postpartum care items for yourself - pads, and any other potential needs (hemroid cream/pads just in case).

    Do you have a white noise/sound machine?  We used ours from the get-go.

    Finally, a sponge bath insert thing to position the baby in the bathtub.
