I really like Gabriela, but I don't understand where you're getting Ari. If you can't stand Gabby, Brie, or Ella, I'd probably take the name off the list.
My niece goes by her full name.....no nn's and she is going to be 17....no one calls her Gabby or anything else...so you can use the name and not get stuck with a nn.
My little sister is Gabrielle and as much as we disliked "Gabby" its now the only name she'll go by. She refuses to write her full name on anything. NN are not really your choice, thats why theyre called nn.
i don't love it with one l but oh well. i think the name is beautiful but i get turned off because of GAB. it annoys me. i don't get the nickname ari either but it's way better than gabby!

That was my top choice, and we were going to call her Ella. I already had two people tell me they would just call her Gabby, so we decided to drop Gabriella and just stick with Ella. I think it's a beautiful name, but be prepared for some people to call her whatever nn they wish!

I love Gabriella but am not sure how you get Ari out of it.

NNs are NNs - they don't have to perfectly match the given name, that's why they are called a NN. I like Ari.
This! My nn that my family uses for me to this day has absolutely nothing to do with my real name. But like other people have said, if you aren't prepared for other people to call your daughter all different variations of Gabriella, then I would move on and choose another name, because all of those other nicknames will most likely happen whether you like it or not.

My sister's name is Gabrielle. My mom never let anyone call her by a nickname but as soon as she went to school the other kids started to call her Gabby and her friends still do to this day. Just a thought that if you hate the nicknames you may not want to use the name. Ari is a good nickname from the name Arianna though.
Re: Thoughts on Gabriella?
Love Gabriella

I also know one who uses ria as a nn
I prefer Gabrielle, but Gabriella is very pretty.
You can call your kid whatever you want, but I don't see how the nickname Ari is at all related to Gabrielle. Sorry.
