DS and I were at the grocery store and a lady who was stocking shelves guessed him to be 6 or 7 months old. Really? That's your guess? When I said, "no, he's 14 months" her response was, "Wow! He is so little!"
I don't exactly remember how much he weighed at his last appointment, but I know he was at least in the 50th percentile. He always has been (with the exception of his birth weight!) People are weird!
Re: Apparently my baby is tiny?
I think people have a hard time guessing ages. My niece was in pre-k last year and I had people ask me if she was in second or third grade.
And this is completely different but my first graders at work have guessed my age to be anywhere from 15-69. Really flattering:)
Anyway, I'm sure she probably just isn't good at guessing ages. I know I'm not...but that is also exactly why I wouldn't try to. I think it can be offensive to parents even if people aren't trying to be rude.
why do people always feel the need to say SOMETHING- ???? i had a woman ask me how far along i was-she guessed 5 months- when i told her 7 1/2 months- she was like oh my god you're so small- you're gonna have a dwarf child!!!
like WTF- why would you say that??? 'm already having anxiety ridden dreams that my baby wont be healthy....
