Hi ladies,
What have you found to work best as a window covering in your nursery? Is it really necessary to get the room pitch dark... and if so, what have you done it with?
Right now we have some white, decorative curtains from Ikea on the window, but now I'm after the more practical blind, shade... or whatever you recommend!
TIA!
Re: What's on your nursery window??
my read shelf:
We have plantation shutters in the nursery. They make the room darker than blinds but still let in some light so it's not pitch black.
We have cordless blinds & "black-out" curtains (the curtains are yellow so they don't really black-put the room but they do help a lot.
We bought both at JCP but didn't find out until afterwards that we could have gotten black-out cordless blinds cheaper at Lowes.
We have faux wood blinds (but that was done before baby) in all the rooms.
Both kids rooms get some pretty good sun at different times of day, so both have curtains. #1's curtains are not black out because they are a darker fabric. #2's room gets the worst sun in the afternoon and the curtains were light so I lined them with blackout fabric.
