Anyone else? I am starting to revert back to my first trimester "I want to take a nap by 11:30 am" fatigue. I was hoping I could keep my energy up for a little longer! I'm not nearly far along enough to justify being this tired.
Oh my goodness I was just saying this yesterday. I am just barely in the 3rd tri, but I feel like I never even hit the non-exhausted plateau that is supposed to come in the 2nd. I've been pretty sleepy all along but remember starting to feel really run down around 23 weeks.
The past few days I barely made it home before falling asleep for the rest of the night. I fell asleep in church, I fell asleep talking to my husband, and I'm already beat by the time I get to the office... This is out of control!
I was thinking this exact same thing... and then I had my gestational diabetes test and they discovered from my blood work that I was anemic. The doctor put me on iron supplements and it has been helping a lot. Not sure if you have had blood work done recently, and it could just be totally normal third trimester fatigue, but might not be a bad idea to mention it to your doctor.
Good to know. They are testing my iron levels at my next appointment (also my GD screening), so we'll see if that has anything to do with it. I know my prenatals don't contain iron.
I read this and it kind of made the switch flip. I have not been sleeping well at night and on top of it I am just getting over being sick so I am sure that has a lot to do with it, but even when I am feeling ok, It still feels like I am getting exhausted much faster than I was a few weeks ago I was pretty energetic at the beginning of the 2nd tri.
I'm right there with you! My fatigue started coming back right around 23 weeks too. Back to going to bed at 8pm every night (and half the time it's a battle just staying awake until 8!!!)
I have been tired this entire pregnancy...not sure if it's just me, the twins, or a combination of both. But, I decided to go out early on FMLA/short-term disability early at 28 weeks (I'm 24 weeks today). I just feel like it's best for the babies...I'm not a spring chicken at 41, and I just want to be able to rest as much as I can before they get here.
Re: Third Tri fatigue seems to be hitting a little early...

You are not alone!
I'm worse I sleep until 12 then want to take a nap at like 2:30.
I feel your fatigue pain, I don't know why I am so tired.
